Comedians for the Evening:

Irene Bremis:photo

Irene has been doing comedy all over the state and country for the past 8 years. Her comedy is what she politely refers to as “comedy noir”. Accused of being “unlady like,” Irene retorts with “my mother didnt raise me to be polite, she raised me to be right! I aint no lady but im a hellava gal! ” She is dauntless with a flair for rebellion which she attributes to being a sagittarius. Her comedy is a compellation of her Greek upbringing with an autistic brother, political & topical satire, gossip, rants, very intimate details of her personal life and everyday observational humor. If you’re thinking it…she says it, AND gets away with it!! Credits and appearances include Stonewall – the Tom Ragu, New York Underground Festival, Laugh Lounge, Trends Comedy Club, Caroline’s, Stand-Up NY, Boston Comedy and more!

Kendra Cunningham:kendra-facing-right

Kendra Cunningham is a Boston-born stand-up comic, comedy writer, actress and filmmaker living in Brooklyn, where she owns a super comfortable bed. She also bartends and has an MA in Forensic Psychology. Kendra spends most of her time wondering where the hell her sugar daddy is and hoping he didn’t settle. Kendra regularly contributes to The Huffington Post and the comedic relationship blog Beauty and the Beast. Her short films have been screened at a number of festivals; Lonelygirl48, which she wrote and acted in, won the Boston Comedy Festival and the Palm Beach Women’s International Film Festival. She has been featured in Time Out New York and on CNN Money, among other publications. (Check out Kendra’s short films and press page.)

Ellen Cogen

Ellen Cogen:

Ellen began her musical life as a classical musician, beginning piano studies at 5, and cello at 10. She was always drawn to a variety of musical genres and instruments, but something finally “clicked” when she started studying voice while a senior at the University of Massachusetts. She went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Voice Performance from The New England Conservatory of Music, and now make vocal music, whether performing, teaching, composing, or conducting her primary focus. She teaches jazz voice and directs the choral and musical theater ensembles in the wonderful gem of a music department at Holyoke Community College. She will be performing with John Mason who is an amazing guitarist and also teaches at HCC.
